NATIONAL TOUR OF LABYRINTH SHOW LAUNCHED
WITH 8-DAY RUN IN SAN JOSÉ
A national tour of The Labyrinth of the Butterflies was launched with a highly successful eight-day run of the show for diverse audiences ranging from high school and university students, to teachers, activists, artists and the general public.
From February 26 to March 8, 2009, the show was performed in the Teatro La Aduana in San José, Costa Rica ending on International Women´s Day.
It was sponsored by The National Theatre Company, The Nobel Women's Initiative, the national Women's Institute (INAMU) and 39 other organizations and institutions.
More than 850 people attended the shows, which included a presentation with a forum after every performance in which the public shared their reactions and "resonances" with the four actresses, as well as the director and script writer, women’s human rights advocates and the author of the book in which the show is based.
