Doris Campbell Barr

Doris Campbell Barr is an Afro Costa Rican professional dancer, choregrogapher, and teacher of modern dance at the Taller Nacional de Danza (TND--National Dance Theatre). She is Coordinator of the Network of Choreographic Culture of the TND and the Conservatorio ltura Coreográfica (Itura Choreographic Conservatory) also of the TND. She has a degree in Theatre Arts from the Colegio Conservatorio Castella (Castella Conservatory College) in Costa Rica, and has taken courses  in Afro-Ethnic dance, Jazz, Modern Dance, Ballet, Belly Dancing, Break Dance, and Hip Hop in Europe, United States and Latin America. Doris also studied Political Science at the University of Costa Rica. 

She has danced with the Group Abend, University Dance troupe at the University of Costa Rica and Losdenmedium. She has also performed in international festivals in the United States, Germany, México, Colombia and England, among others.

Doris was also an actress in the film “Eulalia”, and has performed in national and international music videos. She is an independent choreographer.
