Dear Maria,
Thank you for your email and the photos and the translation into English of Wings of a Butterfly. It is so exciting and inspirational. I feel very proud to be included in any capacity and whatever I can do to promote or be involved - I would be happy to do. Our impromptu and spontaneous meeting was perhaps the best gathering I have been to. It felt safe and comfortable but what we are working with is not safe nor comfortable but pushing boundaries in creative and painful ways. I was so proud to know all the women in the room. It was only a few hours but in those few hours it felt as if I had learnt so much - more than I would learn "alone" in months. What inspired me so much and re-minded me was how much strength I draw from meetings such as that. I was initially too shy to share my digital story - for many reasons - but you inspired me with your presentation to open up more of myself and it was so rewarding. I carried home with me stories of that meeting that will take me years to tell. So many moments of brilliance strung together and each one a nugget of enormous meaning. So thank you Maria and thank you all the women that you are re-energising in your work.
Take care and warm hugs, Jenny. Dear María and Guadalupe,
It is a great project. What I am excited about with this project is that it taps into the creativity of many women, past and present. It will bring to a large audience the very unscientific knowledge that knowledge is not everything: it is what you do with it and how you use it that makes the difference. Looking forward to working with you on this!
Lin Mc Devit. Dear Maria,
Great to see that all this is working and that you're already on the move!! It is very inspiring that your call has received so much support and that there are now several intiatives taking place around this project. I feel specially grateful for the contribution Radio FIRE plans for the WNSP/PARM campaign. I remember your very clear description of Molly and I'm sure that all your reflection around this issue will add extra value to the Take back the tech! campaign. Thanks a million!!!
Cordially, Dafne Plou, PARM LAC coordinator. Dear Guadalupe,
I make the international newsletter for the IIAV in Amsterdam . Lin McDevitt-Pugh gave me your e-mail address. We write an article about Maria's dissertation and your theatre performance, and we think it would be nice to have a picture of the play. Do you have any nice pictures in digitall form that you could
e-mail me? Thank you so much in advance, and I think the project of both of you is WONDERFUL and very inspiring!
Best wishes, Eva van der Plas, Editor IIAV International News. Dear Maria,
