WINGS DECLARES ALL NICARAGUAN FEMINISTS AS "BUTTERFLIERS"

Today, all Nicaraguan feminists are “Butterfliers”.

To support this action, place the logo in your web page and disseminate it so that others can do the same.

“Butterfliers” is a campaign by Wings of the Butterfly that honors women who do outstanding work to promote women's human rights.

Last February, Wings of the Butterfly honored nine Nicaraguan feminists announcing that the day would come when we all would need to multiply our solidarity through “the butterfly effect”, placing the attached logo in all our web pages and disseminating it so that others do the same.

The Nobel Women's Initiative, comprised of six Nobel Laureates have issued a declaration calling for support and solidarity with the Nicaraguan feminists, and other women of Meso-America. 

The time has come.  Just like the people of the Dominican Republic during the Trujillo Dictatorship in the 60s showed their solidarity with the Mirabal Sisters by waving butterflies outside the prison walls, we can place this butterfly in the web in solidarity.
